Down 4 lbs

I'm down 4 lbs but lost some motivation this week.....afraid i'll see a gain @ the scale this week. Since my ex will have the kiddos this weekend i'm going to make some time to work out @ the YMCA....maybe the elliptical and some resistance training. I'd love to go on a hike too...hoping that can happen on Sunday.

A new day

I've been riding this crazy train long enough. The dieting and the losing 3 lbs gaining 4 lbs roller coaster has caused me so much pain and self loathing. I vow to make everyday a new day. Do my best each day and not judge myself on what I did or didn't do yesterday, last week, last month or even last year. I will be accountable for what I do today. I think sometimes I'm overwhelmed by the number of pounds I want to lose so today I will just focus on the small goals and hopefully they will add up to the big goals.

a new approach

so i read a wonderful book and am trying a new approach to losing weight. this is going to be difficult for me since i've been "dieting" for over half of my life. i'm very hopeful and think that as scary as this is this approach may be the "one".

time to turn it up a notch!

i did pretty good overall this week......i had a run in with some krispy kremes this morning but other than that i've done well. this week i need to turn up the exercise and stay completely focused on my goal. i think the last couple of days i've let depression and insecurity keep me from being more focused. i just have to keep reminding myself that i deserve to feel better about myself. i need to get some more health foods so it'll be a little easier.

down 3 lbs

so i cut back on soda...OMG....it has been sooooooo hard but i know that my calorie intake in soda is way more than it should be ~sigh~

i lost 3 lbs in 2 weeks, not a huge loss but i'll take it. i am proud of myself for cutting back and going to do even better this week!

my goal is to be down 30 lbs by the time we go on vacation......so that's 3 down and 27 more to go!

weighing in on weigh in

this week was ok.......lost about half a pound......not great but I'll take it. this week i'm trying to add more fruits and veggies, cut back on red meat and add more H2O. i'm also going to step up my activity and we'll see what next week brings.

The little things.....

I weighed in on Saturday and lost 4 lbs! I'm happy with that but I know how quickly my weight can come back on so I have to be extra careful not to gain it back this week.

I wore a pair of dress pants today that are 2 sizes smaller than I normally wear. I haven't had them on in quite a while......that made me feel really good! Funny how such a little thing can make such a big difference.
